Nowadays, children all learn to swim in swimming pools. I learned swimming in the reservoir.
One summer vacation, the weather was extremely hot. The sun is particularly strong at noon. In the afternoon, the adults would get ready to take a bath at the reservoir and also take us kids there. The sun had been shining for most of the day, and by the afternoon, the water wasn't very cold. Back then, there were no swimsuits or trunks; everyone swam naked. The children are in the shallow water area. The adults are in the deep water area. There is no standard life buoy. Use the inner tubes of truck tires as lifebuoys and rubber boats. Swimming is all about imitation, and the water splashes are particularly big. After several attempts, I finally learned it. But it was only when I grew up that I realized. The name of the swimming stroke I learned when I was a child was "Dog Paddle".
