YAOXIAOSHU Vol.47: Going Camping Alone

By March, the temperature began to rise. This season is suitable for camping.

There is a small hill called Mishan in my hometown. The altitude is not high, approximately 34 meters. It is located beside a large reservoir. When I was a child, I would climb up several times a year.

Starting from a farmland at the foot of the mountain, one can reach the halfway point by walking along the gentle southern slope through an orchard. On the mountainside is a forest of low pine trees. There was a forest fire before, and this pine forest is newly grown. So it's not very high. Beyond this pine forest lies the rock, the granite unique to the north. The mountain has become steeper. It takes about ten minutes to reach the top of the mountain by following the path taken by the predecessors. There is a triangular iron tower on the top of the mountain. The old man said it was built for measurement.

After reaching the summit, looking into the distance, one feels refreshed and at ease. Blue sky and white clouds, wheat fields in the distance, and flocks of water ducks on the water surface. Occasionally, there would be one or two seagulls. Take a deep breath of fresh air and you'll immediately relax.

Life in the city nowadays is too noisy. Occasionally going out for a walk is also a great way to relax.
