After looking at it for a long time, it feels like only that big ship, myself and the sea remain. Last time I drew a dragon, I accidentally slipped my hand and ended up drawing a "Golden Steel fox doll". Where did the promise of a prosperous Year of the Dragon come from? But it doesn't matter. I've decided to do it again!

The difficulty here lies in how to combine the image of shaking a small tree with that of a dragon. I've thought of all kinds of plans: shaking the little tree while classmates ride the dragon, soaring through the fairyland in the clouds? Get a dragon's body tattooed on the little tree? Did the student Shaking the little tree instantly transform into a big shot in the underworld? This scene... There can be... later.

Ultimately, it was decided to start with the image of the small tree naturally curling the hair in an explosion, continue this visual symbol, and then combine it with the image of the dragon. So, the first Chinese dragon with a naturally curly and explosive hairstyle on the entire Internet was born. Ha ha.

The dragon is a deity in Chinese culture, capable of summoning wind and rain, symbolizing power, wisdom, auspiciousness and prosperity. Here, I wish everyone to be like this "Little Tree Exploding Dragon", full of vigor and vitality in the New Year, and to cast all the troubles of the old year to the winds! Well, originally the plan for this issue was to draw a dragon. This year is the Year of the Dragon, but as I kept drawing, it turned into Wolverine. Xiao Ye said it looked like a fox. Let's just name it "Golden Fox Kid".

Looking back on the cartoons from my childhood now, apart from a few domestic ones like Black Cat Sheriff, King Kong Seven Brothers, Shuk and Beta, most of them were from Japan such as Saint Seiya, Skywar, Emergency Response, Flower Fairy, and from the United States like Sheriff Bresta, Transformers and Ultraman. Recently, I have been working on developing new products. Drinking 2 to 3 cups of coffee and 2 to 3 cups of alcohol every day keeps oneself awake at night and feeling light during the day, maintaining a "clear-headed" state.

Over the past few years, due to the pandemic, the space has changed from being constantly on the go to just 15 square meters now. It feels like both the body and the mind are trapped, and there are fewer themes and inspirations. It really proved what someone said before. The year 2019 was the worst of the previous ten years, but it was the best of the following ten years.

The epidemic has not only dealt a blow to the economy, but more so to confidence. I felt even more after doing physical work.

A few days ago, I was chatting with the fruit vendor next door and he said he was on the verge of giving up. His store is open 24 hours a day. During the day, it's his wife, and at night, it's himself. For this small store, I didn't go home even last Spring Festival. Extremely hardworking. In this regard, he can leave me 200 miles behind (so much so that I always use him to reflect on myself). Thanks to his efforts, the fruit store did very well during the Spring Festival. He is full of confidence and ready to go all out.

But the recent epidemic has made him start to waver. He knows nothing about the Internet or social promotion, nor does he have Douyin or Xiaohongshu. He works extremely hard to support a small family. But now, he is losing confidence.

This period of time is particularly testing the mindset of entrepreneurs. I hope the big brother next door can get through this, rebuild his confidence and encourage each other on the road to entrepreneurship.
