Give it a score

In this society, it's unknown when 35 years old became a watershed in a man's life. It seems that after this age, if one doesn't get a position, buy a few houses or drive a good car, This person is about to be labeled as a failure and be despised by others.

Why?

Not to mention throughout history, both at home and abroad, there are numerous figures who were unknown before the age of 35 but achieved great success later on. But what does it matter if one lives a life of obscurity and lies flat?

The whole society is in a state of anxiety. It seems that people nowadays can no longer wait for their late bloomers to achieve success. Looking at all kinds of million-yuan annual salaries and ten-million-yuan mansions on self-media. Many people have reached a collective climax, thinking that these things can be obtained within a few years after graduation. The infinite magnification of the successful and the ruthless belittlement of the unsuccessful.

If the age of 35 is considered a turning point in life. That was also the moment when we were about to take off after gliding for 35 years. It's about to enter the most wonderful moment of one's life. There will surely be fear, but there will also be excitement and gains. All that needs to be done is to face it calmly and embrace all possibilities and outcomes.

Life is a journey. The outcome is the same for all, but the experiences are different.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.23: The New Age of Navigation

Give it a score

When Xiaoshu was about four years old. I asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up. He said he wanted to be an astronaut. So I bought him a Lego version of the Saturn V and spent four days assembling it. I gave it to him as a gift. I hope he can have the opportunity to achieve his small goals.

If I were to go back a few years, I would think that being a scientist might be a bit more achievable than being an astronaut. However, in recent years, with the development of aerospace technology, followed by China's lunar exploration and the launch of its space station. spacex's Falcon rocket and Marcos' Mars occupation plan. It suddenly made me feel that there might be a chance to see another moon landing in my lifetime. The generation of Xiaoshu is sure to witness, and perhaps even witness, humans landing on Mars. So, it seems that becoming an astronaut is still possible.

The next few decades might mark the beginning of the era of interstellar voyages...

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.22: Look close to the water Surface.

Give it a score

When you are in a swimming pool or a bathtub, do you look close to the water surface? If there is no suggestion, give it a try. There will be a different and wonderful feeling.

The first time I did this was when I was a child and secretly went swimming in the reservoir with older kids.

Back then, the water was very clear. Because I was still young and not tall enough, when I jumped in, the water covered my neck and my line of sight was just parallel to the water surface. Immediately, it felt as if the entire world had been compressed and divided into two Spaces, upper and lower. You can see both the world on the water and the environment underwater. Above, the sun shines brightly and the water sparkles; below, it is quiet, harmonious, profound and mysterious. The sounds around suddenly became very faint, while the voice in my heart grew very loud.
I really like this feeling. It can instantly block out distractions and weaken other senses. You are like standing at a crossroads, facing two worlds alone. You can choose to dive down or float up.

Then, in the sea, swimming pool and bathtub, he likes to be buried in the water, leaving only one pair of eyes to see the world.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.21: Violence Releases Love

Give it a score

Occasionally, I saw Xiaoshu reading a picture book called "The Late Night Farting Contest". So I couldn't help but take a curious look myself. I'm astonished that behind the stories of feces, fart and urine, there could be so much interesting and informative content. Farting indicates that animals have a good digestive system. Seeing this, I asked the little tree, "Farting is a sign of good health for animals. What about us humans?" The child pursed his lips and said, "It's the same with people. When they are healthy, they will fart."

It is said that in ancient Japan, there was a special profession called "Flatulence Bhikkhuni". Some people would raise their hands enthusiastically and proudly admit that it was their own when a noble lady farted. Over time, there has been a specific term for the trouble of farting - the "farting dilemma".

A previous survey on a farting predicament revealed that 54.2% people would break through the farting predicament within two months to a year of dating, and a small number of people did not let out a fart in front of their partners even after a year of dating.

Farting is indeed something beyond one's control and can make people feel embarrassed. But after all, in the days to come for the two of them, picking their feet, belching and farting will be the norm. If anyone is willing to do these things in front of you, that can be considered true love, right

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.20: Have a Chat with Yourself

Give it a score

Saying "loneliness" may sound a bit pretentious, but sometimes I actually enjoy this feeling.

And under this feeling, one would think of some very strange questions, such as why am I who I am? If this world were a game. Sometimes I really want to open up a third-person perspective to see myself. This kind of thinking is very strange and gives a sense of division.

Why is it like this?

A self that has been profoundly educated by life or society. I have learned some skills for dealing with people and matters as well as skills for living. Pass all the levels to accumulate points and buy equipment. Weigh the pros and cons when doing things and quantify everything to view the world. For instance, how big the city is, how tall the house is, how much money one has, and how young one is.

The other self has never changed either. I like watching the ants on the ground and the clouds in the sky. Daydreaming about beauty is particularly stubborn and aloof. Emotional and vulnerable, crying while watching movies...

Sometimes I wonder if there's a bug in my reincarnation process. Two souls were stuffed into the same body, and they were particularly polarized.

Well, I want to have a chat with myself.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.19: Beijing Squat

Give it a score

There is a posture called the Beijing squat. It's not necessarily in Beijing; in many places in the north, this custom exists. Although it may seem a bit unseemly, the perspective and state of mind when "squatting" down to view the world are different.

Just like how long has it been since you last saw ants by the roadside?

When we were kids, we could care a lot about some small things. But as we grow up, society teaches us to be the best among people. Everyone has become very anxious and sophisticated. Dressed up well, going to high-end restaurants, wanting to transform oneself into the excellent self in others' eyes, but seldom listening to one's true self. Life is extremely tight. In fact, there's no need to be like this. After a long time, you'll find that actually not many people really care about you. What you need to do is to relax and be yourself freely. For instance, on a summer night, a few brothers would squat on the curb, have a bottle of Yanjing, chat and brag to each other, watching all kinds of people and vehicles pass by on the road... Occasionally, I would bump into a bottle, tilt my head back and take a big gulp, then burp heartily.
That's it. There are five or six people who squat down to live freely and casually while standing up to strive.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.18: I've Gained Weight

Give it a score

I have always thought that gaining weight is a very sad thing. However, once one reaches middle age, for a period of time, one indulges in all kinds of stress-relieving overeating and drinking every day, with a few ounces of white wine and a few bottles of beer. If this continues for a long time, coupled with frequent staying up late, the inevitable consequence is the increasing weight.

Recently, I weighed myself and found that my weight had also reached a record high. I felt like I was about to be sent to market. When I touched the flesh on my body, I felt that only my belly was getting bigger. I remember when I was at school, I could do dozens of pull-ups and push-ups with ease. 1,500 meters is also a piece of cake. But now with this weight, I can't even do five push-ups. My arms are weak. It's really too sad.

Lose weight! I don't want to be a fat person. (Starting from the NTH time).

I began to prepare all kinds of equipment. Fitness wristbands, skipping ropes, yoga MATS, fitness gloves, clothes and shoes... I began to pin my hopes on them. Old problems are indeed hard to get rid of. Form is always more important than content. When doing anything, the result is secondary. The “posture” must be right.

Looking forward to good news in a few months. I hope I can stick to this weight loss for a longer time.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.17: Clumsy Dad

Give it a score

Children's thoughts might be the simplest and most straightforward, so sometimes they sound particularly interesting. For instance, when he is dissatisfied with me, he would say, "You are a clumsy dad." Hahaha, I still quite like this title, although I have no idea why he uses the word "clumsy".

My earliest memory was when I was four years old. Perhaps life before the age of eight is still vague, so through Xiaoshu, one can see what I was like when I was young.

When communicating with Xiaoshu, I used to lack experience and always thought in my adult way. The animations and toys he likes seem too childish to me. I tried hard to recommend excellent animated films, but it seems that he wasn't very interested. Maybe what I think is excellent is just my opinion.
When I was a child, I felt that my parents couldn't understand me. Now put yourself in the children's shoes and think about it. It seems that it's really the adults who don't understand the children or lack patience. Little Tree will eventually grow up one day. He has his own interests and hobbies, his own classmates and friends, his own ideals, and many things to go through.

I hope that before all these come, I can always be the "clumsy father" in his childhood memories.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.16: Sugar-Coated Haws

Give it a score

When it comes to the most memorable childhood memories, it should be the sugar-coated haws on a stick.

Every winter, I would look forward to the old man selling sugar-coated haws at the entrance of the alley showing up soon. In my memory, he always wore a black cotton-padded jacket, with white armbands on his arms and a huge military green cotton glove on his hands, which complemented the red sugar-coated haws, making him look particularly cool. On the back seat of that old 28 bicycle, there was always a tall pole tied, seemingly made of wheat stalks, with sugar-coated haws inserted all over it.

The sugar-coated haws he made were particularly delicious. The hawthorns were large in size and the seeds inside were hollowed out, making them crispy when bitten into. Even before taking a bite, holding it in hand and imagining the sweetness of the sugar and the sourness of the hawthorn combined together makes one very happy. At that time, I always felt that happiness was like the taste of sugar-coated haws, very sweet.

Then, for a few years he showed up every now and then, but later it seemed that he never came again. But those scenes often come to my mind many years later.

YAOXIAOSHU Vol.15: Keep Moving Forward

Give it a score

I never stop moving forward, yet I'm always a step behind.

We always use habitual thinking to perceive and view the people and things around us, replacing rational thinking with immediate emotions. Both sides express and convey their feelings in their usual way, but ignore whether the other party truly accepts this way.

It seems that children find it hard to grow up to be what their parents expect, and parents also fail to meet the perfect standards in their children's minds. The emptiness in this process is filled with all kinds of misunderstandings and misinterpretations, as well as the trivialities of life. In the end, the closest people gradually went their separate ways. By the time they woke up and finally reconciled, they were no longer there.

It seems that apart from life and death, everything else is trivial. That's true, but who isn't in a hurry when encountering trivial matters other than life and death? I always feel that if this matter doesn't work out, life will be much dimmer. The matters at hand are the real big deal. Life and death are still far away. There's no time to think.

Isn't life just like this? There's no perfection, no invariance. We seek joy in tough times and keep moving forward amid constant gains and losses.
